Many cases have also come to light in the past regarding eating dog dung. In fact, some time ago, children in a school in Chhattisgarh were fed dog food, after which the High Court gave a compensation of Rs 25,000 to each child. Along with this, it was also ensured that all the children were given complete anti-rabies vaccine.

Experts say that the rabies virus does not survive for long in the external environment and gets destroyed quickly. Till date, no such case has been reported in which this virus has caused rabies by entering the human stomach. However, if a person has drunk raw milk and has blisters or wounds in his mouth, then there may be a risk of infection. There is no risk of rabies from drinking boiled milk. If the behavior of the dog that swallows milk is not normal or the milk is consumed without boiling, then in such a situation a doctor should be contacted immediately. The doctor decides after examination whether to get vaccinated or not.
