The girl ate hormonal pill to stop periods. After some time he became a disease called Deep Vein Thrombosis – DVT. In this, a blood clot accumulates in the deep veins of the body. When the doctor investigated, it was found that this clot had reached near his stomach. The situation was serious, so the doctor immediately asked to be hospitalized. But the girl’s father refused. Suddenly his health deteriorated at night and he died before reaching the hospital. This incident clearly states how dangerous the use of hormonal drugs can be.
Doctor’s warning
Dr. Pramod Kumar of Safdarjung Hospital gave information on the dangers of DVT. He said, “People often consider hormonal pills an easy way to stop periods, but it has a profound effect on the body. Hormonal change can cause blood thickening and clot in the veins. If this clot moves towards the stomach or liver, the patient’s life can be in danger immediately.”
Silent Danger of DVT
According to doctors, DVT is often done without symptoms. In some cases there is a feeling of pain, swelling or heaviness in the legs. But when this clot reaches the liver or heart, he can die in a few minutes.
Why not take medicine without advice?
Every woman’s body is different and also hormonal level. In such a situation, taking medicine without doctor’s advice can be very dangerous. Doctors say that if ever for some reason you have to take medicines to stop periods, then it should be taken only under the supervision of a gynecologist. Taking medicine to stop periods is not a simple decision. Taking it lightly can become a threat to both health and life. Therefore, never take medicine by yourself and seek advice from a doctor immediately in any problem.
