Last National Lok Adalat of the year

The last National Lok Adalat of the year 2025 is being held on Saturday, 13 December. In this you can get your small challan or fine settled. If you admit your mistake, in some cases your fine or challan may even be waived. In these Lok Adalats, relief can be given on challans related to minor violations like traffic light jumping, not wearing helmet, general challan of vehicles and pollution certificate.

In which cases relief will not be given from Lok Adalat

The most important thing is that if you have violated major or serious traffic rules, then you cannot have any hearing in the Lok Adalat. This includes hit and run cases, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or an accident involving your vehicle while driving. You will not be heard in all these cases.

How to register for Lok Adalat

  • To register in Lok Adalat for traffic challan, one has to first go to the official website. For this, the website of National Legal Services Authority i.e. NALSA or your state or district legal services authority can be opened. People living in Delhi can also get information related to Lok Adalat through the official site of Delhi State Legal Services Authority.
  • After opening the website, one has to find the Lok Adalat section, where the link related to online token or registration is given. By clicking on this link the further process is completed. Important information like name, mobile number, vehicle number, challan number or case number has to be filled in the registration form. It is very important to give correct information, because any kind of mistake can cause problems in registration.
  • After filling the information, the slot or token is booked as per the available date and time. After the token is booked, a confirmation message or token number is received on the mobile, which is necessary during the hearing in Lok Adalat.

What documents will be required on the day of hearing?

It is mandatory to keep all the necessary documents related to the challan with you on the day of appearance in Lok Adalat. This includes copy of challan, identity card, RC of the vehicle and driving license. Without these documents the case cannot be heard, hence it is important to keep all the documents ready in advance.

You can get a chance to register on the same day also

If Lok Adalat is being held in your city or district on 13 December 2025, then generally you get a chance to register on the same day. At many places, separate counters are set up at the venue in the morning, where names can be registered or tokens can be taken on the spot. It is important to note that Lok Adalats are crowded and the registration process often lasts only for a limited period of time, such as noon.

In such a situation, arriving late can cause problems. Those who have already booked online registration or token are given priority and their case is resolved quickly. Therefore, it is more beneficial to prepare before going to Lok Adalat.
