Canada has announced a 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup. Canada played its first T20 World Cup in 2024, it has reached here by qualifying for the World Cup for the second consecutive time. The captaincy of the Canada team has been given to Dilpreet Bajwa, who is originally Indian and was also born in India.
Canada had qualified for the T20 World Cup 2026 by winning the Americas Regional Final. He topped the table by winning all his 6 matches in the qualifier tournament. As a result, he got a place in the main tournament of the T20 World Cup.
Nicholas Kirton is also in this team, who has earned a good name in white ball cricket. Left-handed batsman Yuvraj Samra, whose strike rate is more than 160, would also like to come to India and create havoc in the World Cup.

The Canadian team has been placed in Group D of the T20 World Cup 2026, in which Afghanistan, New Zealand, South Africa and UAE are also present. Canada will play its first match with South Africa on February 9. Its second match will be against UAE on 13th February, New Zealand on 17th February and in the last group stage match it will face Afghanistan on 19th February.
