Rapid cancer detection: Now a relief news has come out for people struggling with serious illness like cancer. Scientists have developed such a new technology. In which you will not need to inject and you have to add any kind of radiation. This discovery can not only save the lives of patients, but can also change the future of cancer treatment.

Identification of cancer at the initial level

Scientists of Britain’s Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and London’s Cancer Research Institute have discovered a new technology. In this technique, the MRI scan of the entire body of patients is done, due to which the parts of MRD i.e. myeloma are also caught. Even if all other tests have come normal.

What came out in research

Research included 70 myeloma patients, who were given stem cell transplant. Everyone was given MRI before and after the transplant. It was revealed in the case that, even after treatment in the body of one of the three patients, a mild presence of cancer was found, which was caught only from this scan. Not only this, in the patients in which this disease was seen in the scan, their overall survival rate was also low.

Why is MRI technology special?

This scanning technique is radiation free and does not require any injection or needle for it. This means that it is completely safe, especially for patients who are kept under monitoring for a long time.

What is the story of Royal Marsden

According to the information, 57 -year -old patient Royal Marsden said that, due to this scanning, his cancer was detected in time and treatment could start early. He told that, this technology not only saved his life, but also gave him a chance to fly fighter jets and do operational duty again.

What did scientists say?

Professor Christina Mesuce says that this scanning technique helps in understanding the reaction of treatment and catchs cancer released from traditional tests. While Professor Martin Kairizer calls it “Gold Standard Procession Imaging”, which is giving a new direction to myeloma.
