Rajgir Hero Asia Cup of Bihar is ready to organize 2025. Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavia has disconnected the trophy on Monday. This tournament will be played between August 29 to September 7, about which Indian captain Harmanpreet Singh is quite keen. Captains are satisfied with the team’s performance on Australia tour. He said, “We performed well on the Australian tour. There was a team of 24 players, everyone performed well.”
The 12th Hockey Asia Cup is being played without Pakistan. The Indian captain said, “If the Pakistan team played in the Asia Cup, the fans would have entertained. The feelings of the fans are attached during the Indo-Pakistan match. For some reason, the Pakistan team is not playing in this tournament, but in future we will sometimes play against them.”
Bihar is going to host the men’s Hockey Asia Cup for the first time. Harmanpreet Singh hopes that his team will get a lot of love from the fans here. He said, “Women have also been playing hockey matches in Bihar. Their game was highly appreciated. A large number of people came to see their match. I hope that the men will see the same love in the Asia Cup.”
In the Asia Cup, the Indian team will start their campaign against China from 29 August. After this, there will be a contest against Japan on 31 August. On September 1, the Indian team will take on Kazakhstan.
India is placed in Pool-A along with Japan, Kazakhstan and China, while South Korea, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Chinese are in Taipei Pool-B.
