India vs South Africa second test will start from tomorrow in Guwahati. The first test match was played in Kolkata, in which South Africa won by 30 runs. The Eden Gardens pitch was heavily criticized, after which there is speculation that the Guwahati pitch is also going to be suitable for spin bowling. Rishabh Pant has given a big statement on this subject and said that he is hopeful of getting a better pitch in Guwahati.
Rishabh Pant’s big statement
Before the start of the second Test, Rishabh Pant said in the press conference, “First of all, I would like to say that this ground is very close to my heart, my ODI debut took place here and I am also making my captaincy debut of the Test team from this ground. This will always be special for me and probably a special thing for the whole of Guwahati because a Test match is being held here for the first time.”
Rishabh Pant further said, “Everyone is getting a special experience by coming here. As far as the pitch is concerned, I think this time the pitch will be better, especially for batting. Yes, there will be a turn in it after a few days, but in my view it is going to be a good match.”
Thanked BCCI
Earlier, Rishabh Pant had thanked BCCI for giving him the captaincy. He said, “I thank BCCI for the captaincy. Sometimes you start thinking too much about a big match, it doesn’t help much. I don’t want to think too much. The first Test did not go well for us, so we have to do whatever is necessary to win the second Test.”
