How much salary does CBI director get?
The CBI director is given equal pay as secretary level officer of the Government of India. At present, the officer working on this post gets a salary of about 2.25 lakh rupees every month. The basic salary of CBI director is considered Rs 80,000 per month. Apart from this, they are given many important allowances-
- Dearness Allowance (DA): About 120% of Basic Pay
- Special incentive Allowance: Around 15%
- Other allowances: Government vehicles, houses, medical facilities etc. are available at limited levels
- The total salary of CBI director, including all these, Rs 1.60 lakh to Rs 2.25 lakh per Rs.
- It occurs between months.
How much will the salary increase from the 8th Pay Commission?
If the recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission are approved by the Central Government, then there may be a significant increase in the salary of the CBI director. It is believed that if there is an increase of 20-25%, then their salary can increase to Rs 2.70 lakh per month. However, its final decision will depend only on the acceptance of the government.
How can you do direct joining in CBI?
The way for direct recruitment in CBI opens through SSC CGL exam. This examination is conducted every year by Staff Selection Commission. Candidates who meet educational qualification, age and physical standards can sit in this exam. Those who bring the top rank are appointed to various positions in the CBI. Special training is also given to the selected candidates, so that they can become proficient in the investigation process.
