Aamir Khan’s film ‘3 Idiots’ must have been seen by all. Everyone will also remember the school shown in this school. Now this school has achieved special achievement. The school which made a place in millions of hearts through the film ‘3 Idiots’, has now got recognition from CBSE.
Druk Padma Karpoo School, situated in the cold desert of Leh, has finally received the recognition of CBSE. After a long wait of almost 24 years, this school has achieved this historic place, which will now give a new flight to the future of the students here.
The Druk Padma Karpo School has been named in honor of the great scholar Mifam Pema Carpo (1527–1592). ‘Padma Carpo’ means ‘white lotus’ in the local language Bothi. This school has already been an example due to its special teaching method and dedication to education in the cold desert background.
CBSE approval now
Till now this school was recognized by the Jammu and Kashmir State Education Board (JKBOSE). Despite applying for recognition from CBSE several times, the process remained incomplete due to non -availability of ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC). The school’s principal Mingur Angamo told that he already had all the necessary facilities, yet it took time for the delay of NOC. But now, after getting recognition from CBSE, students will be able to easily find opportunities for higher education across the country.
Innovation based education system will be synergy
The education system of Druk Padma Karpo School has already been separated from romantic studies, sports and innovation based. The school’s teaching method is in line with the new National Education Policy (NEP), so there will be no major challenge in adapting the school with changes in the CBSE course.
Plan to study till class 12th
The school administration is now planning to start class 11th and 12th by 2028. For this, special training programs of teachers have also been started, so that the educational journey of the students can be even more easy.
The film ‘3 Idiots’ gave global identity
Due to a memorable scene of the film ‘3 Idiots’, this school became famous worldwide. Even today, the tourists who come here do not forget to take pictures with that ‘iconic wall’. However, the students’ studies should not be disturbed, so in 2018 the wall was shifted to a separate place from school.
