There is an important news for lakhs of candidates who have applied for the Direct Recruitment Quota (DRQ) examination 2026 conducted under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). If you have applied for Group A, Group B or Group C posts and have made some minor mistake while filling the form, then there is no need to worry now.
CBSE is giving one time opportunity to the candidates to make corrections in the application form. Under this, the correction window will be opened from December 29, 2025, in which candidates will be able to correct some important information in their online application form. This facility is very important for those students, because mistakes made in the application form can create problems in the examination or recruitment process later on.
Important dates of correction window
The correction window is starting on 29 December 2025 and this correction window will close on 30 December 2025. Candidates will be able to make corrections only once. Therefore CBSE has advised all the candidates to check all the information very carefully before final submission. This facility is available only to those candidates who have successfully submitted the online application form and have paid the application fee within the stipulated time and the correction window is a one-time facility. After the expiry of the deadline, no second chance will be given.
What information can be corrected in the application form?
CBSE has allowed changes only in some limited areas. Candidates can correct their name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, nationality, educational qualification, photograph and signature (if the photograph is not clear or uploaded wrongly), option of posts and priority order (if more than one post has been selected). How to make corrections in the application form?
1. Go to the official website of CBSE.
2. Click on the Direct Recruitment Quota (DRQ) 2026 section.
3. Open the Application Correction Window link.
4. Login with your application number and password.
5. Your application form will open on the screen, but make corrections only in those fields which are allowed.
6. Check all details carefully before submitting.
7. If additional charges arise due to correction, make online payment.
8. Now submit the correction application form and download the confirmation page and keep it safe.
