The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reminded all the affiliated schools that the data of students for class 10 and 12 of 2025-26 should be recorded correctly in LOC (List of Candidates). The board has provided the improvement facility from 13 to 27 October on the official website cbse.gov.in. During this time, schools can rectify any mistake in the names, date of birth and subject details of their students.
The board has made it clear that the spelling, date of birth and the elected subjects of the students should match the admission records of the school. Any mistake can affect the student’s examination and marksheet in future. Therefore, schools have been asked to take full care while filling the LOC.
Focus on choosing subject code
In particular, the board has also given examples to ensure that there is no mistake while choosing subject code. Class 10: Hindi-A (002), Hindi-B (085), Urdu-A (003), Urdu-B (303), Mathematics (Standards) (041), Mathematics (Basic) (241)
Class 12: Hindi Core (302), Hindi Alternative (002), English Corps (301), English Alternative (001), Sanskrit Corps (322), Sanskrit Alternative (022), Urdu Corps (303), Urdu Alternative (003), Mathematics (041), Applied Maths (241) The board has said that the subject code should be selected from the schools that the subject codes should be selected properly, because the subject code should be properly selected. The results are associated with the marksheet.
Information about improvement process
The board has clarified that the facility of improvement will be available even after depositing LOC. If a school has deposited the LOC on time and filled the fees, but later a student’s data is found to be mistaken, then it can be improved by the last date. However, additional fees may be applied if some changes.
After the improvement process, the school will be able to remove verification slip for each student. If a mistake is seen during that time, then the facility of improvement will also be present.
The same rule for students of classes 9 and 11
CBSE also clarified that the facility of improvement in details of name, date of birth and subjects will be available from 13 to 27 October in LOC form of students of class 9 and 11. Schools have been instructed to enter all the information correctly during this time so that there is no problem in future.
