July da hike news: The Narendra Modi -led government at the Center may soon make such an announcement, which will bloom the central employees. It is being told that central employees can get the benefit of increase in 4 percent DA from July 2025. With this, dearness allowance will increase from 55 percent to 59 percent.
Inflation is increasing
In May 2025, All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (AicPI-IW) for industrial workers rose 0.5 points to 144, which was 143 in March, 143.5 in April. Due to this, a decision can be taken to increase the dearness allowance 4 percent. If the index keeps on moving this rapidly and it reaches 144.5 in June, the AICPI-IW is expected to reach the average of 12 months to about 144.17.
What is AICPI-IW index?
The government uses the AICPI-IW index to track inflation, regulate dearness allowances and make policy. Increasing AICPI-IW means that the expenditure on the living of industrial workers has increased and this is tried to balance by increasing dearness allowance. Dearness allowances go to Rewaiz Care twice a year in January and July, which is based on the average AICPI-IW data of the last twelve months.
