The fast of Chaitra Navratri will be observed on 6 April 2025 after the conclusion of Mahanavami Tithi. On this day, Navami Tithi will end at 7.22 pm.
According to the belief, some people pass the Navratri fast not at night but in Udayatithi. In such a situation, those people can open a fast on 7 April 2025 on Dashami Tithi at 6.04 minutes in the morning.
Before opening the fast of Navratri, Virgo worship and havan must be performed. This is not only auspicious but is considered necessary to attain the complete virtue of the fast.
On the Navami day, offer pudding, puri, gram to the mother and feed the same food to the girls. Keep in mind that it should not have garlic-onion in the food, otherwise the fast is not found.
Fasting should be observed from the ninth meal, for this, get up early in the morning and take a bath and go to the kitchen only after wearing clean clothes. Clean the kitchen thoroughly. Make mother’s enjoyment with cleanliness of body and mind. Do not make food by wearing slippers.
After giving the girl food till noon, perform havan and then take food after the end of Navami date at night. On this day, do not give stale food or food to anyone by mistake, feed the fresh food to the animals or birds who come to the door. Do not keep hatred towards anyone.
