Traffic rules violations: Even though there is strictness about traffic rules in India, a report by Autotech firm Cars24 has been shocked. The challans of those who violate traffic rules are cut on the roads, but in the last one year it has been compensated for only 25 percent. The remaining 75 percent is still outstanding.
More than 8,000 crore invoices in 1 year
According to the information given in the report, in the year 2024, more than 8,000 crore challans were deducted for those who violated traffic rules across the country. Its total amount is Rs 12,000 crore, out of which payment of Rs 9000 crore is still pending. That is, 75 percent of the total fine is still outstanding. This shows that despite strict rules, how many times and how easily traffic rules are being violated across the country.
People are breaking traffic rules as soon as they get a chance
In this year, challans were cut from overloaded trucks to helmet bikes or scooters. A truck owner from Haryana was fined Rs 2,00,500 for loading more than 18 tonnes of goods. Similarly, a fine of Rs 2.91 lakh was imposed on a bike rider in Bengaluru for violating traffic rules.
In Gurugram alone, Rs 10 lakh was collected from 4,500 challans deducted in a day. In Noida, 3 lakh rupees were recovered from those who drive without helmet. This shows that people are irresponsibly violating traffic rules as soon as they get a chance.
Overseas cases
Cars24 co-founder Gajendra Jangid said, “Every violation of traffic rules is a silent vote against the civic order.” If we want the security of our city, then we have to take our responsibility proudly instead of fear. Let us know that about 50 percent of the challans were cut for overspeeding. After this, cases of not wearing helmets or seatbelt, parking and signal jumping were reported.
Surprise to fill the challan
However, ignoring the invoices quickly, otherwise you may have to pay. The driving license of those who do not fill the challan may be canceled, the registration certificate can be canceled, the insurance premium may increase, can also send a court summons if there is frequent lapse.
