Delhi University has intensified preparations related to admission for the academic session 2026-27. In this context, the university has released its new admission information bulletin. This time DU has made a big change in the rules especially for management related undergraduate courses. Whereas till now admission to these courses was done on the basis of CUET score of three subjects, now students will have to take admission with the score of four subjects. This decision may change the strategy of thousands of students preparing to do management course in DU.
Admission to undergraduate courses in Delhi University will be entirely through the Common University Entrance Test i.e. CUET. This time the eligibility conditions for popular courses like Bachelor in Management Studies (BMS), Bachelor of Business Administration Finance and Investment Analysis (BBA-FIA) and BA Honors Business Economics (BBE) have been changed.
Till now, for admission to these courses, the CUET score of the students in one language subject, mathematics and general test was considered. But now an additional topic has also been included. This means that now students will be included in the merit list on the basis of CUET score of four subjects, one language, mathematics, one domain subject and general test. This clearly means that now students’ knowledge related to the subject will also be given more importance.
this is important
According to officials, the institute believes that domain knowledge of students is very important for admission in management and business related courses. Language and mathematics alone cannot fully assess a student’s preparation. For this reason, an additional subject has been added, so that it can be seen how well the student understands his chosen field.
this is advice
DU administration has advised students that all the candidates who want to take admission in Delhi University should read the admission bulletin carefully. In this, the eligibility of each course, essential subjects and rules related to CUET are clearly explained. Students should fill the CUET form accordingly. DU has also made it clear that after the CUET exam, the university will open its admission portal, where students will be able to register.
