Chhattisgarh Operation Black Forest: Security forces have killed 27 Naxalites in an encounter in the border area of Narayanpur-Bijapur-Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh. Police officials gave this information on Wednesday (May 21). According to sources, the security forces have killed Nambala Keshav Rao alias Basavaraju, the top commander of Naxalites and general secretary of CPI Maoist in this encounter. After this operation, Home Minister Amit Shah and PM Narendra Modi have praised the security forces.
Police officials said that a security personnel soldier was killed and some other soldiers were injured in this incident. On this occasion, PM Narendra Modi wrote on X (East Twitter) that we are proud of our army for this remarkable success. Our government is committed to ending the threat of Maoism and ensuring a life of peace and progress for its people.
Apart from PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah also tweeted that in an operation in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh, our security forces have killed 27 dreaded Maoists, including CPI-Maoist general secretary, top leader and Nambala Keshav Rao alias Basavaraju, the general secretary, top leader and the spinal cord of Naxalite movement. This is the first time in three decades of India’s fight against Naxalism that our security forces have piled up a general secretary leader. I appreciate our brave security forces and agencies for this big success. After the completion of Operation Black Forest, 54 Naxalites have been arrested in Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Maharashtra and 84 Naxalites have surrendered.

Naxalites started firing on security forces

A DRG soldier martyred during the encounter
He said that during the encounter with the Naxalites, a DRG soldier was killed and some other soldiers have suffered injuries. Medical assistance has been provided to all the injured. All the injured soldiers are out of danger. Officials said that during this campaign that has been released for the last several days, several senior level Maoist cadre is expected to be killed or seriously injured. Officials said that despite the difficult geographical conditions and many challenges, security forces are carrying forward this decisive campaign against leftist extremism with full commitment and determination. The campaign is going on continuously in the area.
