‘Chief Minister, you can take any action against me, but …’, actor Vijay released video message for the first time after Karur stampede


The party’s chief actor Vijay has broken the silence in the stampede case of Tamilga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) in Karur, Tamil Nadu. Two days after the death of 41 people in this accident, actor Vijay said on Tuesday (September 30, 2025) that I never faced such a painful situation in my life. He said that soon the truth of the stampede will be revealed.

TVK Chief Actor Vijay posted a video from the official handle of TVK on social media platform X on Tuesday (September 30, 2025). In this video post, TVK Chief Karur expressed grief to the casualties in the stampede and wished the injured people soon. In the video, he said that he is very unhappy with this accident.

He said, ‘I have filled my mind with anxiety. What should not have happened, it is done. I have never faced such a painful situation in my life. Bypassing politics, we always seek the permission of a safe place from the police.

Will meet the stampede affected people soon- Vijay

TVK Chief Vijay said in the video post that he has not yet met the affected people. He said, ‘I did not visit Karur, as it could have led to an unusual situation. I will soon meet you (from the families of the victims and the injured).

TVK chief challenges CM Stalin

During this, actor Vijay has indicated to face action in this matter. He challenged Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin. Taking a dig at the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in Tamil Nadu, he said, ‘Chief Minister, if you have the idea of ​​taking revenge, then you can do anything with me but cannot touch the party people. You can come to my house or my office and take any action against me, but not against them. He claimed that on the day of the incident, he had left Karur early keeping in mind the safety of the people.

Vijay said this at a time when the police have registered a case against his party partners in connection with the stampede in West Karur district of Tamil Nadu on 27 September. Among the leaders of TVK have registered a case against the police, senior party leader Bassi N. Anand and CTR Nirmal Kumar are included.
