China is left behind in military strength, Indian Air Force becomes the third most powerful air force in the world, know where is Pakistan

Indian Air Force has become the third most powerful army in the world. The Indian Air Force has left China behind in the latest ranking of the World Directory of Modern Military Aircraft. America is at number one, Russia is at second and after that is India. Although China has more military aircraft than India, this ranking of the World Directory of Modern Military Aircraft (WDMMA) is based on the firepower of the Air Force.

How is it decided who is powerful?
Let us tell you that WDMMA uses a formula for the annual ranking, which is based on the values related to the total combat power of different air forces of the world. This formula ‘True Value Rating’ (TVR) is based on the modernization of the Air Force, military support, attack and defense capabilities etc.

The strength of any country’s air force is assessed not just on the basis of its total number of aircraft, but on the basis of its quality and general mix of inventory. Generally ignored categories such as special-mission, bomber forces, CAS, training and on-order units are given more importance. Apart from this, focus is also given to the capabilities of the local aviation industry, inventory balance and experience of the Air Force.

The US Air Force has the highest achievable TVR score of 242.9. The USAF has a strong balance of aircraft types as well as overall numbers. Due to America’s huge industrial base, many of its products are manufactured locally.

Saudi air force more powerful than Pakistan
In this ranking, China’s Air Force is at number four and Japanese Air Force is at number 5, while Israeli Air Force is at number six and after that is France Air Force at number seven. Britain’s Air Force is at eighth position after France. Pakistan’s Air Force is at number 18, while Saudi Arabia’s Air Force has got number 17.

The current WDMMA list covers 103 countries and 129 air services (including the Army, Navy and Marine Service branches).
