China’s Ambassador to India Xu Feihong has given a big statement regarding Taiwan on Sunday (January 4, 2026). Reiterating China’s tough stance on Taiwan, he said that Taiwan has been a part of China since ancient times and there is no dispute or second thought on this matter. At the same time, he said that the history and legal facts related to Taiwan are completely clear.
China’s Ambassador shared a post on social media platform X on Sunday (January 4, 2026). In the post, Xu Feihong said, ‘The government of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) was established in October 1949. Which replaced the government of the Republic of China as the sole legitimate government representing the whole of China.
He said that despite the change in government, China’s status as a subject of international law did not change. The PRC Government naturally owns and exercises sovereignty over all of China, including sovereignty over Taiwan.
