Electric cars are being sold less in India

Electric vehicles in India have not been so popular yet because their charging takes too much time. According to a Business Standard report, in the month of February, the sale of electric vehicles in India has declined by 1.9 percent year-on-year and a decline of 18.2 percent has been sold by only 139,025 units.
Screw stuck on charging speed
Currently, the electric car takes from 30 minutes to 8-12 hours to charge, which depends on the capacity of the charging station. In such a situation, the chorging feature of Byd in five minutes will prove to be a game changer for Indian users. The new Super E platform of Byd has the ability to give ultra-high fast charging speed up to 1,000 kw. Its advantage can be taken up in China, but there is no facility of such fast charging speed in India.
EV charging stations in India can give speed up to 7KW. There is a need to keep the battery on charging overnight to fully charge. Users can also use public DC fast charger, but it is also not very fast. Public DC fast charger in India is based on 3-phase AC input and their charging output varies from 50kw to 120kw.
