After the controversy regarding the bath of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand, now resentment is also coming to the fore regarding the new rules of the University Grant Commission (UGC). Amidst these issues, Bareilly City Magistrate Alankar Agnihotri has surprised everyone by resigning from his post. He says that he cannot remain silent about the insult to the saints and the new rules related to education.
For the last several days, the atmosphere in Uttar Pradesh is heated regarding Magh Mela. There was tension between Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda’s Batuks and the administration regarding his bath. Allegations were made that the saints and their disciples were not treated properly. After this incident, resentment increased in the Sant Samaj. The matter was not limited to just one bath, but it became an issue related to respect and faith.
Growing opposition to UGC’s new rules
Meanwhile, UGC has implemented some new rules related to equality in higher education institutions. Protests have started regarding these rules also. Many people say that these rules are against a particular class and may increase inequality among students. The discussion regarding these rules has intensified in the education world as well as in administrative circles.
City Magistrate resigns, everyone shocked
On Monday, Bareilly City Magistrate Alankar Agnihotri resigned from his post. He described the new rules of UGC as “black law” and said that insulting saints cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. After his decision, there was a stir in the administrative and political circles. His name quickly became popular on social media also.
Who is Alankar Agnihotri?
Alankar Agnihotri is originally from Kanpur. His family still lives in Kanpur. His life has been full of struggles. His father passed away when he was just 10 years old. He is the eldest child of the family, hence the burden of responsibilities fell on his shoulders at an early age.
Journey of early studies and hard work
Alankar Agnihotri completed his studies till 12th from Kanpur. He was good in studies from the beginning. After this he did B.Tech from the country’s prestigious institute IIT BHU. After leaving here, he did not directly choose the path of government job, but started working in the private sector.
Changed direction after ten years of service
After B.Tech, Alankar Agnihotri worked as a consultant in an IT company for about 10 years. During this period he established a good financial position. He also got married at this time. His wife’s name is Aastha Mishra. In an interview, he had told that it was during his private job that the idea of doing something for the society came to his mind. After this he started preparing for civil services.
After hard work and dedication, Alankar Agnihotri passed the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) examination in the year 2016. He secured 15th rank in this examination. This was a big turning point in his life. After this he joined administrative service and performed his responsibilities in different districts.
