A political storm has arisen due to the death of Mohammad Parvez in police firing in Nikki Tawi of Satwari police station area of Jammu. Leaders along with family members have described it as fake. In fact, on Thursday (July 24), a police team chasing suspected drug smugglers was firing in the Mandal area under the Satwari police station. Meanwhile, Parvez died in the police firing.

On Friday (July 25), Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that this is unfortunate. He wrote on X, “The murder of Mohammad Parvez, a resident of Nikki Tawi in Jammu, is extremely unfortunate and regrettable. The use of force by the police should be balanced, not indiscriminately.

Transparent investigation should be- CM Omar Abdullah

CM said, “Jammu and Kashmir has also paid a huge price for such incidents earlier. This incident should be investigated in a transparent and time -bound manner. I express my condolences to the family of Mohammad Parvez. Allah should bring them to Jannat ata. ”

What did Mehbooba Mufti say?

At the same time, former Chief Minister and PDP President Mehbooba Mufti demanded a time -bound inquiry into the murder of the young man in the shootout. He wrote on X, “In Satwari yesterday, the police killed a tribal youth Mohammad Parvez. Now he has been imposed to be a drug dealer, but even if it is, we still live in a democratic country where justice is found under the legal process, not through Khap Panchayats or Kangaroo courts.”

Mehbooba Mufti said, “I heartily hope that DG should take cognizance of this shocking incident and order a fair and time -bound inquiry. We should neither accept nor promote such an encounter culture, because these things remove people from the system. ”

Parvez Ahmed alias Bachu Javed Nagar was a resident of Nikki Tawi. 30 -year -old Parvez’s father’s name is Rahmat Ali.
