Responding to the upcoming India-Pakistan T20 World Cup match, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that while Pakistan has considered it appropriate to play the match now, all I have to say to them is that you should not make threats if you are not ready to stick to that threat. He threatened that we would not play the match against India, then got scared and withdrew his threat.

CM Omar Abdullah further said, “Those who do not have the strength to stand behind their threats should not go ahead and make threats.” One should come quietly and get down on the field. Whatever happens in the match, will happen.

India-Pak match will be held as per schedule

On the request of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, the Pakistan government has withdrawn its appeal to boycott the match. Now the India-Pakistan match in the T20 World Cup will take place as per the schedule, which has put an end to the crisis prevailing in the ongoing tournament. This match against India is to be held on 15 February in Colombo.

What was said by the Pakistan government?

A press release from the Government of Pakistan said, “Taking into account the outcomes of multilateral negotiations and the requests of friendly countries, the Government of Pakistan has directed the Pakistan national cricket team to take the field for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup match scheduled on February 15, 2026.” It has also been said on behalf of the Government of Pakistan that this decision has been taken with the aim of protecting the spirit of cricket and supporting the continuity of this global game in all the participating countries.

What did Omar Abdullah say about Amarnath Yatra?

On the convenience of the pilgrims during the Amarnath Yatra, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said, “We have never left any stone unturned in making the Amarnath Yatra convenient. Kashmiris have always carried the pilgrims on their shoulders to the cave. This journey is not possible without Kashmiris. That cave was discovered by a person living there. We have always made this journey convenient.”
