Bulldozer action on indo-nepal border: The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has initiated strict action against illegal religious constructions in the districts bordering the Nepal border. Hundreds of madrasas, mosques, mausoleums and Idgahs built on government and private land have either been sealed or dropped from the bulldozer. In this campaign on the instructions of the Chief Minister, action has been taken at more than 350 illegal religious places so far.
This action has been taken in districts like Shravasti, Bahraich, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri and Maharajganj, which are located close to the Indo-Nepal border. These areas are considered sensitive, and due to such illegal constructions, social harmony and security system can be affected.
The government says that action is being taken against those who break the rules, respecting religious sentiments. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given clear instructions that no possession or encroachment will be tolerated in the name of religion. On 10 and 11 May, 104 madrasas, a mosque, 5 mausoleums and 2 Idgahs were identified in Shravasti. Many of them were sealed, and an illegal madrasa was also dropped.

Let us know that in the last few times, the Uttar Pradesh government has intensified the campaign against encroachment across the state. Especially, the objective of this special campaign going on in the border districts is to stop any possible threat to security in time. The government has made it clear that this action is not against any religion, but against illegal construction and law breakers. The administration’s appeal is that people should remove illegal construction themselves, otherwise strict action will be taken.
