CMIE Has Reveled That In 2023 24 More Than the Cloth the expenses of People on Liquor have increased by 26 percetic as compared to 2022 23

CMIE REPORT: The Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) has prepared a report, which has revealed what the common man of the country is spending more on his everyday life and cutting the purchase of what things. It has been told that people of normal income class in the country are spending more on alcohol and cold drinks than clothes.

People spending more than clothes on alcohol

It was told in the report that in the year 2023-24, people spent 7.29 lakh crores out of their earnings on clothes. At the same time, Rs 1.20 lakh crore was spent on alcohol drinks. A year ago, in 2022-23, where people spent Rs 7.60 lakh crore on clothes. At the same time, 0.95 lakh crore rupees were spent on liquor. This clearly shows that the expenditure on clothes has decreased between this year, while the expenditure on liquor has increased by 26 percent.

There is a competition to buy your own car

In this way, people have increased the expenditure on the purchase of their own car in 2023-24 as compared to 2022-23, which was Rs 2.64 lakh crore a year ago. At the same time, one year later it became Rs 3.26 lakh crore. At the same time, the expenditure on transport service increased from 14.32 lakh crore of 2022-23 to Rs 15.50 lakh crore in 2023-24. That is, the expenses on purchasing their own car increased three times the expenditure on public transport.

In one year, the expenditure on health increased so much

People are gradually becoming aware of their health as the expenditure on health has increased by 18.75 percent, which increased to Rs 10.07 lakh crore in 2023-24 in 2022-23. However, along with this, the expenditure on insurance premium has decreased by 3.39 percent, where the premium amount in 2022-23 was Rs 1.77 lakh crore. At the same time, in 2023-24 it has come down to Rs 1.71 lakh crore.

Increased spending on food and drink

During this time, there has been a decline of 1.38 percent in spending on entertainment, but the expenditure on internet and call has also increased by 8 percent. In the year 2023-24, the share of spending on food items was 28 percent i.e. Rs 5.15 lakh crore, which is 8.6 % more than the last one year. The reason behind this can be held by increasing inflation. From vegetables to fruits, grain-dal, milk, eggs, sugar, jam, the expenditure on everything has increased compared to one year.
