In a viral Instagram video, gastroenterologist Dr. Joseph Salhab has listed four possible symptoms seen at the age of 30. Ignoring these symptoms can increase the risk, but identifying them in time can save life.
The first sign is extreme fatigue. According to the doctor, colon cancer can gradually lead to a decrease in blood pressure, which leads to weakness and excessive sleep. Research also believes that anemia is a major reason for cancer-related fatigue.
Another sign is night sweats. Doctors say that cancer cells release inflammatory proteins, which causes mild fever and night sweats in the body. Many reports suggest that night sweats associated with cancer are often severe and unusual.
The third major sign is change in bowel habit, such as sudden increase in constipation or diarrhea. This usually happens due to blockage caused by cancer. According to medical experts, stomach ache, diarrhea, constipation can all be signs of colorectal cancer.
The fourth and most important sign is blood in the stool. Doctors call this a classic sign of colon cancer. According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, blood in the stool is often a sign of bleeding somewhere in the colon or rectum. If this happens again and again, it should not be taken lightly.
