Be it Parliament, election rallies or statements on TV… leaders leave no stone unturned in taunting each other. The names of Rahul Gandhi and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju are also included in it. But when these two leaders met each other beyond politics, the atmosphere became full of laughter. On 6 December, both the leaders reached Parliament to pay tribute to Dr. Ambedkar on his death anniversary. As soon as they passed each other, both of them smiled and started joking.

At first both the leaders smiled at each other from a distance. Then Rahul Gandhi moved forward and shook hands with Kiren Rijiju. It felt like old friends meeting after years. Then the conversation started.

Rijiju said laughingly, ‘I was a little scared…’ During this, Congress leaders Rajiv Shukla and Udit Raj were also present along with Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi said jokingly, ‘Come to my house, we will exercise together and fight.’

Then Rijiju said that I am afraid of judo.

Tribute to Dr. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary
Today, tributes are being paid to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his death anniversary across the country. Ambedkar laid a strong foundation of democracy for the country by drafting the Indian Constitution. He was a strong supporter of social justice, equality and education.
