Bokaro Steel Plant News: Congress MLA Shweta Singh from Bokaro in Jharkhand has been arrested. He has been arrested for violating Section 163. Shweta Singh was staging a sit -in on the death of a young man in lathicharge during a protest at Bokaro Steel Plant. Section 163 has been implemented in the entire Chas subdivision area after the death of the displaced youth in lathicharge.

In fact, the atmosphere of Bokaro is deteriorating after lathicharge on protesters seeking planning on April 3 outside the Bokaro Steel Plant and the death of a young man. Even after two days, there is resentment among the displaced for not taking meaningful initiative by Bokaro Steel Plant Management and local administration.

Meeting was inconclusive with administration, plant management and public representatives

Late Friday night, talks with administration, plant management and public representatives were conceived, after which local Congress MLA from Bokaro, Shweta Singh sat on a dharna with the displaced outside the Bokaro Steel Plant. On receiving this information, Bokaro DC and SP reached the spot with the force and arrested Congress MLA Shweta Singh. After the arrest, he was taken to the camp jail at Circuit House.

We will fight again and die- Shweta Singh

MLA Shweta Singh said that Bokaro Steel Plant Management and local administration together are working to eliminate the movement of displaced people. He said that we will fight again and die. There will be a movement again and the displaced will be given their rights at any cost.

Let me tell you that there was a ruckus after the death of a young man in lathicharge on the displaced youth agitated on the demand for job in Bokaro Steel Plant. On the instructions of Bokaro Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav, the police arrested Hari Mohan Jha, the Chief General Manager of BSL (Bokaro Steel Limited) for the incident of violent confrontation between CISF and displaced in front of Steel Plant Headquarters Ispat Bhawan.

Fire in five trains

During the Bokaro bandh called on Friday to protest against the incident, protesters set fire to five vehicles including at least three buses. Many vehicles were also vandalized.
