Shashi tharoor controversy: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor made a statement related to the surgical strike in the all -party delegation of Operation Sindoor in Panama. After this statement, controversy has arisen in the Congress. Many leaders are targeting Shashi Tharoor. The statement of Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala has also come out on this matter. He said that Shashi Tharoor is a senior leader, but his statement was factually wrong. The party has only corrected the record. He clarified that even during the UPA rule, there was a surgical strike against Pakistan. He said that these operations were done through the armed forces and the Congress government has always responded to the terrorists.
Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala said there is no bitterness in it. The aim of the party is not to humiliate Tharoor, but to present the correct facts. Tharoor said in Panama that BJP was the first party to first conducted a surgical strike on Pakistan. After that, in 2019, he gave a befitting reply to Pakistan by conducting a surgical strike. He did not mention the military actions of its earlier governments. The Congress erupted on this and their leaders took Shashi Tharoor on target. On this, Congress leader Udit Raj first said that Tharoor is a super spokesperson of BJP. They are conspiring to destroy the Congress. He also said that Tharoor’s statement is based on lies and he should be declared a BJP pracharak.

He posted on X (East Twitter) and wrote that Tharoor himself mentioned the surgical strike of the UPA government. Such criticism shows that Tharoor’s remarks have created dissatisfaction in a large section of Congress. However, cleanliness of Shashi Tharoor was also revealed on this issue. He had said that my statement was not on wars, recent actions. Tharoor clarified on X (East Twitter) that I was clearly talking only on recent terrorist events and their reply, not wars or history. He called critics “trolls and radicals”. He said that his words are being broken and presented and he has more important tasks.
