The stir in the Congress party has intensified before the Punjab Assembly elections to be held in the year 2027. State Congress President Amarinder Raja Vading has clearly said that this time new faces will be given tickets on 80 out of 117 seats. This means that the tickets of many leaders who have contested the elections in 2022 may be cut. Raja Wadding said that he will put this proposal before Rahul Gandhi and the young leaders contesting elections for the first time on these seats will get a chance.

New faces and ticket distribution

According to Amarinder Raja Wadding, the Congress Party wants to bring forward new energy and youth leadership in this election. He told that the leaders who represented the party in the last elections will not be given priority this time. This strategy is clearly aimed at promoting young leaders. This decision has increased the atmosphere of turmoil and discussions within the party.

Only Rahul Gandhi and Kharge will decide the post of CM.

Apart from this, Amarinder Raja Wadding also commented clearly on the Chief Ministerial candidate. He said that a self-proclaimed person can never become the Chief Minister. This right will be decided only by Rahul Gandhi and Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge. Wadding wrote that any leader who stakes claim by declaring himself the Chief Minister may face the displeasure of the party and will never be able to become the Chief Minister.

Statement and reaction on Charanjit Singh Channi

After this statement of Amarinder Raja Vading, former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi was targeted. Channi’s brother Dr. Manohar Singh said that Raja Waring is right and presenting himself as the Chief Minister on social media is wrong. He also said that Channi did not do anything like this, but at present Channi is the only candidate in the race for the post of Chief Minister. Ultimately, only the MLAs will decide who will become the Chief Minister.
