The woman also accused Poonam Pandit of calling her to the hotel, threatening her and pressurizing her to give a statement in favor of Deepak.
During the press conference, the woman alleged that Deepak Giri first contacted her on the pretext of friendship and one day he raped her by putting intoxicants in a cold drink. The woman says that after this, he maintained the relationship for many years on the pretext of marriage and blackmailed her through obscene chats and objectionable pictures.
‘Poonam Pandit threatened by calling me to the hotel’
The woman had arrived with her lawyer. During this, she alleged that Deepak Giri raped her even a day before getting engaged to Poonam. Congress leader Poonam Pandit called him to a hotel and put pressure on him to force a compromise. He claimed that video evidence related to this will be released soon.
The victim says that Deepak Giri put pressure on her and got her to file a divorce case against her husband and asked Poonam to stay with him even after the engagement. Lakhs of rupees have been snatched from him, he also presented some transaction details before the media and said that he has enough evidence, which will be presented in the court.
Deepak Giri accused of rape and blackmail
A case has been registered against Deepak Giri and three others in this case, although no one has been arrested yet. The woman says that in the year 2018, Deepak had taken her number from Facebook, after which he called her, in the year 2021, he raped her by giving her intoxicants and then blackmailed her.
Let us tell you that this whole matter came to light when the pictures of Poonam Pandit’s engagement with Deepak went viral on social media. After this the woman reached Deepak’s house and created a ruckus, during which Deepak’s father threw her out of the house. Seeing the increasing controversy, SP has also removed Deepak Giri from the post of District President of SP Yuvjan Sabha.
