A new twist has come in the case of burying several bodies in the shrine in Karnataka. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the state government has arrested the complainant of this case. Complainant CN Chinneya had claimed that several corpses were asked to bury in the shrine by putting pressure on him. Now the complainant’s divorced wife has accused him of lying. He alleged that Chinneya lies habitually and he has made this story false in some money greed.
Dispute for money
Ratnamma, who worked as a civilian activist in Nagmangala, said that she was married to Chinneya in 1999. They have two children and they divorced in 2006. He alleged that Chinneya often assaulted him. He said that even during the divorce proceedings, Chinneya lied in the court that he is unemployed so that he could avoid giving alimony.
He said, “I never got justice. My mother raised me and later my children also supported me.” According to Ratnamma, Chinneya had never talked about rape, any incident of murder or collectively burial. He claimed that Chinneya has done this with the aim of creating controversy so that he could earn some money from it.
‘Chinneya was ready to do anything for money’
According to the Times of India report, Chinneya’s childhood partner said that after the death of his father in 1994, Chinnaya’s elder brother took him to the shrine and he settled there. He said that the complainant started working as a scavenger there. In 2014, he returned from there with a woman. According to his villagers, he had done three marriages while living in the shrine, but no marriage could last. Another villager named Balu alleged that Chinneya was ready to do anything for money.
