Sukhvinder singh sukhu: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu discussed important challenges in the health sector while interacting with the faculty members of IGMC Shimla and Atal Institute of Medical Super Specialty, Chamiana.

On this occasion, various department heads of medical colleges gave their presentation. The Chief Minister said that according to the needs of every medical college, the state government will provide all possible assistance.

Machines older than 20 years will be replaced

The Chief Minister said that within a year, machines and equipment older than 20 years will be replaced in government health institutions. The facility of robotic surgery will be started within two months at Super Specialty Hospital Chamiana and Tanda Medical College. Three Tesla MRI machines are also being installed in all medical colleges.

He said that the previous governments did not pay any special attention to improve health services, due to which the patients are facing various problems. The present government has given priority to improvement in education and health and Rs 1350 crore is being spent on medical technology. He said that the government will provide funds to make hostels for the students studying medical and the parking facility will be strengthened for the patients as well as the staff.

Para medical staff as well as technician recruitment

CM Sukhu said that the state government is trying to fill various vacant posts in the health department along with the use of modern technology. The state government is filling the posts of doctors and nurses will be given priority in the recruitment of nurses during the recruitment of nurses. He said that along with para medical staff, technicians are also being recruited. We are ensuring doctors-marriages ratio and nurse-marriages ratio according to international standards so that they can get a better environment for work.

The Chief Minister said that the premium health institutes of the state have become only referral health institutes, so there is a need for extensive improvement in them. The state government has spent Rs 100 crore for improvement of health services in IGMC Shimla and Rs 200 crore will be provided to improve it in the coming time.

Constant efforts to improve health services

He said that due to the restoration of old pension to government employees, many economic sanctions have been imposed on Himachal Pradesh, but despite this, the state government is trying to improve health services. He said that patients always come to the hospital with hope of recovering, in such a situation, if the doctors talk to them well, then their suffering will be reduced. Doctors need to change their behavior.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Colonel (Dr.) Dhani Ram Shandil said that such dialogues are important in the improvement of health services. All medical professionals are doing better work in state health institutions and efforts should be continued to make it better. He said that there is a lot of progress in the field of medical education and the state government is making serious efforts to provide modern machines in Himachal Pradesh, so that people can get better health facilities near the home.
