US President Donald Trump has once again drawn the world’s attention towards Iran. He has claimed that a large fleet of the US Navy is moving towards Iran. After this statement, concern about the possibility of global war has increased. Trump said this while addressing his supporters in Clive city of Iowa.
Trump’s statement among supporters
Trump said on Tuesday (January 27, 2026) that a ‘beautiful armada’ is currently heading towards Iran. He said that he wants Iran to compromise. Trump said, ‘If Iran had made an agreement earlier, its situation would have been different today.’
Claim of attack on Iran’s nuclear sites
Trump also claimed that in June last year, America completely destroyed Iran’s nuclear power by attacking several nuclear sites. However, questions still remain about how much damage these attacks caused to Iran’s nuclear program.
Trump has broken the agreement before too
In his first term, Trump canceled the nuclear deal with Iran. After this, he imposed strict economic sanctions on Iran, so as to put pressure on its economy.
Iran’s threats and warnings
Iran has also given a strict warning amid the increasing actions of the US Army in the Middle East. Iran’s Foreign Ministry has said that if America takes military action, it will have to face a ‘heavy and regretful reaction’.
Warning hoarding put up in Tehran
A large hoarding has been put up in Tehran, the capital of Iran, in which an American aircraft carrier is shown in a destroyed condition. It is written on it in Persian and English – ‘If you sow the wind, you will reap the storm.’
American warships reached the area
Last week, Trump had told that the US Navy fleet is being sent towards the Middle East. The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier and several missile-equipped ships reached the area on Monday. Due to this, the presence of thousands of American soldiers has increased further.
Fleet sent ‘only as a precaution’
Trump told reporters that this fleet had been sent ‘only as a precaution’. He said, ‘We have a huge force going in that direction, we may not have to use it.’
Protests and deaths in Iran
Meanwhile, the situation remains serious regarding anti-government protests in Iran. According to human rights organizations, more than 6,000 people have died so far in the protests and crackdown, including women, children and civilians.
