The Marxist Communist Party ‘strongly condemned’ the encounter of 27 Maoists including Nambala Keshavrao in Chhattisgarh. The party alleged that the Central and State Governments ignored the appeal of the Maoists.
The CPAEM said in a statement that the statements made by Home Minister Amit Shah and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai reflect the fascist mentality for not interacting with the Maoists. The Left party says that many political parties and social organizations have appealed to the government to consider the request of the Maoists of talks.

27 Naxalites had a reward of Rs 3.33 crore
In Narayanpur district of Chhattisgarh, all 27 Naxalites killed in an encounter with security forces were identified as dreaded Naxalites in the state, which had a total reward of Rs 3.33 crore. In one of the biggest campaigns against Naxalites in Chhattisgarh, security forces killed 27 Naxalites including Nambala Keshav Rao alias Basavaraju, general secretary of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) during an encounter in the forest of Abujhmad on the border of Bijapur-Narayanpur district. 12 women Naxalites were also killed in this encounter.
Officials said that during the campaign, two soldiers of the District Reserve Guard (DRG) of the State Police also died. Inspector General of Police of Bastar region Sundararaj P said that one of the slain Naxalites was identified in Chhattisgarh on Wednesday as a prize of Rs 1 crore Basavraju (70), while the other was identified on Thursday.
