The Olympic Games will start from July 14, but the cricket matches must have started 2 days before that. Cricket matches at the Olympics will be played in T20 format. The Olympic matches of the Mans and Women’s category will be played from July 12-29. At the same time, the matches for the medal will be played on 19 and 29 July.
According to a report published in the cricbing, the schedule of cricket is divided into two sets. The match of the first set will be played from 12-18 July, its medal matches will be played on 19 July. At the same time, the second set matches will be played from 22-28 July and its medal matches will be played on July 29, the Olympic Games will end a day later. However, it is not yet clear whether the men’s tournament will be first or the women’s tournament. More information related to cricket matches will be made available in the last months of this year.
The organizing committee has already made it clear that a total of 6-6 teams will participate in each male and female competition. For this, the Fairground Cricket Stadium has been selected as a venue, which is 48 km from Los Angeles.
It has not been clear yet how the cricket team will qualify in the Olympic Games. From July 17-20, the International Cricket Council (ICC) is going to have an annual conference in Singapore, where the qualification process will be discussed. According to reports, teams can qualify on the basis of rankings, but speculation about the qualification tournament last month has also gained momentum.
