Protests against the government in the country have now moved beyond Nepal to Britain. On Saturday (September 13), the biggest opposition to Britain’s history was held on the streets of London, which included more than 1 lakh people. This march took place under the leadership of Tommy Robinson, on whose behest people took to the streets against their government on such a large scale.
Who is Tommy Robinson?
Tommy Robinson’s real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lenn. He is 41 years old and his criminal record is quite long. He has to go to jail many times. Robinson founded the English Defense League in 2009, which later associated with violent clashes and football Huliganism. In 2013, he left the leadership of the organization, but remained active activists and online campaigners.
Many criminal cases against Tommy Robinson
His criminal records include cases like attack, hostage, fraud and contempt of court. In 2018, he faced jail for live streaming outside the trial, while in 2024 he was sentenced to 18 months for disregarding the High Court order. In 2021, he announced the bankruptcy and said that some part of the amount received in the donation was lost in gambling. Despite this, he remains an influential personality in Britain.

In this protest march held in London, protesters waved Union Jacks, St. and George Cross flags and many American and Israeli flags. In the rally, slogans were raised against Britain’s Prime Minister Kir Stmper and placards like “sending home” were shown against him. Robinson said in his post that this march symbolizes the freedom of expression and united for its rights.
