Accusations of hurting religious sentiments
The Sikh community has accused the film ‘Dhurandhar 2’ directed by Aditya Dhar of hurting religious sentiments. Due to which a legal notice has also been sent to the producers of the film and the concerned parties. The notice alleges that in some scenes and promotional material of the film, a Sikh Sardar has been shown smoking, which is against the norms of Sikhism and has hurt the sentiments of the community.
Sikhs do not consume tobacco
This legal notice states that tobacco and smoking are strictly prohibited in Sikhism. In such a situation, showing such a scene in the film is not only religiously insensitive but it is also being considered an insult to the faith of the entire Sikh community. The party sending the notice has demanded that all scenes showing the Sikh Sardar smoking should be immediately removed from the film and such scenes should also be removed from posters, trailers and other promotional materials related to the film.

Apart from this, the producers have also been asked to publicly apologize to the Sikh community, so that the injury caused to religious sentiments can be compensated. The notice warns that if these demands are not met within the stipulated time, legal action will be taken against the producers of the film and the parties concerned.
