Petrol-Diesel Price: Crude oil prices have reached a six-month high. Due to increasing tension between America and Iran, Brent crude futures have increased by 21 cents or 0.3 percent to reach the level of $ 71.87 on Friday. Similarly, US West Texas Intermediate crude has also increased by 23 cents or 0.4 percent to reach $66.66.
Impact of increasing tension between America and Iran
US President Donald Trump gave an ultimatum of 10-15 days to Iran and said that if a nuclear deal is not made in the meantime, Iran may have to face serious consequences. Meanwhile, Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday for military drills involving live firing. This is the same sea route from which about 20 percent of crude oil is supplied to the world.
After Iran’s decision to close the Strait of Hormuz, America is also deploying troops on a large scale in this area. It is obvious that due to increase in tension in this region, the supply of oil in the world markets may reduce and prices may increase.

Oil marketing companies in the country update the prices of petrol and diesel every day at 6 am according to the fluctuations in crude oil prices and currency exchange rates around the world. Today, it is a matter of relief that despite the rise in crude oil prices across the world, there is no change in the prices of petrol and diesel in India. Today the price of petrol in Delhi is Rs 94.77 per liter and the price of diesel is Rs 87.67 per liter. Today in Mumbai, petrol is being sold at Rs 104.21 per liter and diesel at Rs 92.15 per liter.
