India-canada relations: Canadian top intelligence agency CSIS (Canadian Security Intelligence Service) has publicly acknowledged for the first time in its 2024 annual report that Khalistani extremist Canada mainly uses Canada to promote violence in India, raise funds and make plans. It has been claiming that Canada has become a safe haven for pro -Khalistan extremists.

The biggest feature of this report is that Canada has accepted the Khalistan movement in terrorist context for the first time using the word ‘extremism’. This is the first time after the 1985 Air India bomb blast that so many clear words have been used at the government level against Khalistanis. The report includes CBKE (Canada-Based Khalistani Extremists) in PMVE (Politically Motivated Vioilent Extremism) category.

India repeated many times
India has been saying for many years that pro -Khalistani leader like Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was killed in 2023, has been openly involved in anti -India activities in Canada. The Government of Canada has given encouragement and tolerance to such elements under the guise of political freedom and expression. Now that CSIS has officially confirmed Indian concerns, the Indian government can present it as a validity of its diplomatic status.

Pakistan also accused
In this report, not only the Khalistani elements, but also Pakistan is considered responsible for foreign intervention in Canada. Reports of National Security and Intelligence Committee of Parliamentaryians (NSICOP) and Public Inquiry Into Foreign Interference (PIFI) have also held Pakistan responsible for influencing Pakistan’s democratic institutions.
