CTET 2 exam canceled at two centers in Bihar, know when will the exam be held here?

Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is considered a very important examination for lakhs of youth preparing to become teachers in the country. However, when irregularities occur in such important examinations, it is the candidates who suffer the most. Once again the flaws in the examination system have been exposed in Bihar, where the candidates had to face a lot of trouble during the CTET 2026 examination. Due to not holding the examination on time, lack of correct information and administrative negligence, the situation became so bad that the candidates got angry and created a ruckus. This incident has not only raised questions on the conduct of the examination, but has also raised concerns about the future of the students.

What is the whole matter?

This incident is from Vaishali district of Bihar. CTET Paper-2 examination was to start at 9:30 am at St. John’s Academy Examination Center located in Keshopur. More than a thousand candidates had reached the examination center before the scheduled time, but when time passed and the examination material did not arrive, the restlessness of the students started increasing. Neither the question papers arrived nor any clear information was given till 11 am. After waiting for hours, the patience of the candidates was exhausted. The atmosphere at the examination center became tense and chaos broke out within no time.

Candidates’ protest and uproar

Angered by the delay in the examination, the candidates accused the education department and the district administration of serious negligence. Angry students came out of the examination center and started protesting on the road shouting slogans. Seeing the situation worsening, the local police was called to the spot. Later, by the time the officials arrived with the question paper, the candidates had refused to take the exam. The students collectively boycotted the examination. Additional police forces were also deployed from nearby police stations to keep the situation under control.

At which centers were the exams cancelled?

In the statement issued by CBSE, it was said that on February 7, 2026, the CTET Paper-2 examination was conducted at 1803 examination centers across the country. Out of these, the examination was successfully completed at 1801 centres. However, the examination could not be conducted at two examination centers in Vaishali (Hajipur) district. The examinations at both the centres, St. John’s Academy, Baramati Nagar and Lakshya International Academy, had to be canceled due to unavoidable reasons. CBSE has clarified that the examination was almost completely successful, but the situation at these two centers in Vaishali had gone out of control. Therefore the examination could not be conducted there. The board has also assured that the candidates who had to appear for the examination at these centers will be given a second chance.

Now when will the exam be held again?

According to CBSE, re-exam for the affected candidates of these two centers will be conducted within the next 15 days. Information about the new date and time of re-exam will be given to the candidates separately, which will also be released on the official website. The result of CTET 2026 exam is likely to be released in the last week of March 2026 or early April 2026. Candidates will be able to check their results by visiting the official website ctet.nic.in or DigiLocker.
