Dalai lama successor controversy: The Tibetan Buddhist religious leader Dalai Lama has once again made it clear that their organization will not end and they will definitely be reborn. Giving a strong message to China and his followers, he said that who will be the next Dalai Lama, this decision will be taken only spiritually.

After this statement of the Dalai Lama, the stir from China to America has intensified, while there has been a wave of happiness in the Buddhist community of Tibet. Penpa Tsering, the head of Tibet’s exiled government, has also strongly condemned the intervention of China. He said, “Rebirth is not a political issue, but a completely spiritual process. China cannot interfere with it.” Penpa further said that only the religious leaders themselves decide where his next birth will be. This is not the subject of China. He described China’s intervention as baseless and unfair.

Peenpa Tsering said that China should first understand Tibetan culture, Buddhism and life after death. He taunted and said, “If China really believes in rebirth, then it should first seek the rebirth of its leaders, such as Mao Jedong, Jiang Zemin etc.”.

Gold Aron process rejected

Peenpa Tsering also rejected China’s demand which said that the next Dalai Lama should be selected under the ‘Gold Arn’ process. He said that this process was started by the Ching Dynasty in 1793, so that control over Tibet could be increased, but before that the first eight Dalai Lama was selected without this process. This tradition is not part of Tibetan culture.

The successor will not be announced now

Pempa Tsering also made it clear that the successor will not be announced on the 90th birth anniversary of the Dalai Lama. He said that many people had misunderstandings about this, but the Dalai Lama himself has said that they will live at least 20 more years and will be given information related to the successor only when the appropriate time comes.

China accused of spreading religious division

Peenpa Tsering accused China of trying to divide among the Buddhist community in Tibet. He said, “This trick will not work. We will keep raising our voice against it. This attitude of China will not last long.”
