In a conversation with the Times of India, the show’s producer Asit Modi has spoken about Dayaben’s return.
What did Asit Modi say about Dayaben’s return?
He said, ‘The audience is constantly asking about Dayaben when she will make a comeback. Disha ji has left her mark. Even after 8 years, people remember him. His character is still alive in the hearts of people. Disha ji’s role has overshadowed that character. It is not easy to bring them back. This requires the right time and right circumstances. I am currently focusing on storytelling. When the story is strong, people automatically join the plot. The absence of a character is not as unlikely. This show has always been going on with its story. As long as we are giving interesting content, people are connected whether some characters are present or not.
On being the number one of the show, Asit Modi said, ‘We are very happy that the show reached the number one in the middle of the daily soaps. This reflects the light-hearted situation of the daily life of the common man’s life. Due to which people connect. Our connection with the audience has been strong for years.
