The BCCI has become very strict about the fitness of the players. 6 Indian players including Rohit Sharma have reached the Center of Excellence for fitness testing. The first players will be scanned by Dexa, which is done for bone testing. Along with this, there will also be a blood test of players. Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill will soon leave for Dubai for the Asia Cup, but before that they have reached the Center of Excellence for fitness check. At the same time, Indian ODI team captain Rohit Sharma and fast bowler Mohammad Siraj have also come to Bengaluru for investigation.
It is being told that the investigation can start from Sunday, everyone’s eyes will be on Rohit Sharma. This fitness test will be very important for ‘Hitman’, as the ODI series against Australia is not far away. Somewhere this fitness test will make it clear to a great extent whether Rohit Sharma will stay in the plan of 2027 ODI World Cup or not.
According to the report revealed, the situation is not clear about Virat Kohli. A BCCI official said that according to the contract, the players will have to get fitness checked before the new season starts. This early test will help Coe understand where the fitness of the players is decreased and which areas they need to improve.
The BCCI has recently brought a bronze test, in which players have to run 20 meters, 40 meters and 60 meters. Players have to set 5 such sets in which they have to cover a distance of 1200 meters within 6 minutes. Interestingly, they will not get any break for comfort between completing these 5 sets.
