Filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has become a big hit since its release and is breaking many records at the box office. This film is getting a lot of praise from the audience as well as many celebs. Deepak Tijori has also praised ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ a lot. However, he has questioned the CBFC about the “half-muted” abuses in the film. He said that he is very confused about the logic behind such censorship.
‘Dhurandhar 2′ Questions raised on partial muting of abuses
On Thursday, Deepak shared a black screen on Instagram with ‘Dhurandhar Part 2: The Revenge’ written on it along with a small red heart. He wrote, “I have to admit… maybe I’m missing something. Maybe I don’t have the same understanding that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) or its board members have. Because I really don’t understand, why mute half the abuses and why let the other half remain? Some should be allowed at some places and some should be completely muted?”
Questions raised on release of film on OTT without muted version
He further added, “Especially when the film is already 18+ certified, which clearly means it is for adults, then who are we protecting here? And from whom… with some half-baked word? And then comes the thing that really confuses me, the same film, within a month or two, gets released on OTT… without any mute… without any changes… exactly as it was meant to be. And the children watch it there… at home… sitting with the family… in which everything is heard completely.”
The actor concluded by saying, “So I’m just trying to understand—honestly, how smart is it to ‘half-mute’ something in a theater meant for adults, when the same thing plays at full volume at home a short time later? Maybe there’s a reason behind it that I don’t understand… or maybe, just maybe… we’re overthinking about the wrong things. Just trying to understand, the cinema’s Logic, CBFC’s logic… isn’t it?”

Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun will be seen in important roles. The film shows the beginning of Ranveer Singh’s character and his journey as he transforms from ‘Jaskirat Singh Rangi’ to ‘Hamza Ali Mazari’. Along with this, the film also shows how he gradually rises to become the leader of ‘Liyari’ while carrying out his mission to destroy the terrorist network present in Pakistan.
