When Deepika started crying after hearing about cancer
Regarding her reaction on cancer diagnosis, Deepika said, ‘This was the first time I was sitting in a car and at that time I had to give Ruhaan to my mother. Because he was crying a lot. I was not able to get the feed done at the same time and I started crying. At that time, the only thought in my mind was that if it is cancer then I have no complaints. I just want to be okay. I knew I would be fine.
Deepika further said, ‘This word itself is scary. If someone is told that he has cancer, it breaks him from within. So that’s why Shoaib and I cried in that lobby. We hugged each other and cried a lot. But after that we decided that we will not cry anymore. We both felt fine. To be honest, I have no complaints that I don’t look good, or that I have gained weight or that my hair is falling out. During this entire journey, I was just saying that I want to get well. I want to get well for Ruhaan.
Let us tell you that Deepika has undergone cancer surgery. He is on medication. These days he is with his in-laws in village Maudha.
