On the day of Holi, a small issue over water balloons turned into a big fight in Uttam Nagar in Dwarka area of Delhi. 26 year old youth Tarun lost his life in this fight. It caused tension in the whole area. On Friday (7 March) night, angry people set fire to the car and bike parked outside the accused’s house.
On the day of Holi, there was a fight between neighbors over throwing a colored balloon. There has been news of the death of a young man due to this fight. This incident happened on Wednesday (March 4) evening. After which there was a dispute in the area.
What was the whole matter after all?
A girl from a family living in JJ Colony of Uttam Nagar filled a balloon with water and threw it. The balloon hit a Muslim woman passing by. After which the woman informed her relatives about this.
The woman’s relatives came and beat up the girl’s family members living in the same street. It is alleged that after the matter calmed down at night, a person named Tarun, who is a relative of the girl, came to their house. At the same time, the accused family also beat Tarun badly.

The victim’s family alleges that the accused beat him badly with sticks as well as stones. After this, Tarun was admitted to the hospital in critical condition, where he died.
After Tarun’s death, people created ruckus at the police station. Besides, the glass panes of two vehicles outside the street were also broken. According to Dwarka District Police, the fight took place over balloons, but there is an old enmity between these two families. Police is also considering this as a reason behind the incident.
Police arrested 4
Police have registered a case in this matter. Four accused have been arrested by the police in this case. Dwarka district DCP Kushal Pal Singh said that security has been increased, the area has been divided into zones, sectors and sub-sectors and constant patrolling is being done. People of both the communities have been appealed to maintain peace and not pay attention to rumours.
