Delhi Assembly Election 2025: The BJP has returned to power to the capital Delhi after nearly 27 years, for which the party spent crores of rupees. At the same time, Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party was far behind the BJP in terms of spending money.
In the 2025 assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party spent a total of Rs 57.65 crore, while the Congress, who was second, spent a total of 46.19 crore. Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party stood at number three after spending Rs 14.51 crore. This information has been revealed from the report of the expenses submitted by the political parties to the Election Commission.
BJP spent Rs 18.51 crore on party candidates
According to the BJP’s expenditure report, the party’s central headquarters received Rs 87.79 crore during the election process. BJP spent Rs 39.15 crore out of a total of Rs 57.65 crore spent on the party’s campaign and Rs 18.51 crore on the party candidates.
Kejriwal’s party spent a total of Rs 14.51 crore
After 10 years of rule, the Aam Aadmi Party, which was out of power in the capital, received a total of Rs 16.10 crore during the election. Kejriwal’s party spent a total of Rs 14.51 crore. Out of these, 12.12 crore and 2.39 crore rupees were spent on the party’s campaign.
Congress spends 46 crores
The Congress spent a total of Rs 46.19 crore, out of which the party spent Rs 40.13 crore on campaigning and Rs 6.06 crore on the party’s candidates. In the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, the BJP won the historic victory and won 48 out of 70 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party won 22 seats. The Congress once again failed to open its account.
