8 people have died in the explosion near Red Fort Metro in Delhi. Deputy Chief Fire Officer AK Malik says, ‘We received information that there has been an explosion in a car near Chandni Chowk metro station. We took immediate action and seven units were sent to the spot. The fire was brought under control at 7:29 pm. There is a possibility of casualties in this. All our teams are present at the spot. According to information received from sources, 24 people are reported injured.

Eyewitnesses have given information about the current situation after the blast. After the explosion, a local shopkeeper said, ‘I have never heard such a loud explosion in my life. I fell three times because of the explosion. It felt as if we would all die.

Rajdhar Pandey, another local resident, said, ‘I saw the flames from my house and then came down to see what happened. There was a loud explosion. I live nearby.

CRPF DIG Kishore Prasad reached the spot. He said, ‘It is too early to say anything right now. I am going to the spot right now.

Pieces of dead bodies were found scattered…

A local person told that when we reached near, we saw that pieces of dead bodies were scattered on the road. No one was able to understand what happened. Many cars have been damaged. When we saw someone’s hand on the road, we were absolutely shocked. I can’t explain it in words.

Many injured have been brought to LNJP Hospital due to the explosion that took place near Gate No. 1 of Red Fort Metro Station. Many people have been injured in this incident. After receiving information about a car explosion near Gate No. 1 of Red Fort metro station, fire engines, ambulances and senior police officers have reached the spot. After this, three to four vehicles also caught fire and were damaged.
