The administration has started taking strict action in the case of lynching of 26-year-old Tarun on the day of Holi in Uttam Nagar of the capital Delhi. The team of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has reached the property belonging to accused Nizamuddin with a bulldozer. The work of demolishing the house of the accused has also been started. In this case, the police have so far arrested 7 accused including a minor and further investigation is going on.
MCD team arrived with bulldozer
After the murder of a youth in Uttam Nagar, the administration seems to be in full action mode. On March 8, the Delhi Municipal Corporation team reached the spot with a bulldozer and started action on the property belonging to accused Nizamuddin. According to officials, demolition action was taken after illegal construction was found in this property during investigation.
Considering the situation in the area, heavy police force was also deployed. The administration says that strict steps are being taken to maintain law and order and all aspects related to the case are being investigated.
Controversy started due to balloon throwing on Holi day
According to the police, this incident happened after a dispute started over throwing water balloons on the day of Holi. According to the information, a girl had allegedly thrown a water balloon at a woman from another community, after which an altercation started between the two families.
Within no time the dispute escalated and people from both sides gathered on the road. After this the fight turned violent and there was a fierce fight between the two parties. During this period, a total of eight people were injured, who were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Tarun injured in fight dies during treatment
26 year old Tarun had suffered serious injuries in the incident. He was admitted to the hospital, but he died during treatment on Thursday. After Tarun’s death, the matter took a more serious turn and created tension in the area.
Police said that initially the case was registered under sections 110 and 3(5) of the Indian Judicial Code. However, after Tarun’s death, Section 103 (1) i.e. murder section was also added to the FIR.
